This post is one of those situations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you\u2019re getting clicks to your website but not getting calls or leads\u2026 something\u2019s off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A lot of trade businesses around Vancouver run into this at some point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You might be:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Showing up on Google<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Running ads<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Getting traffic<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But the phone isn\u2019t ringing the way it should.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And it\u2019s not always obvious why.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">It\u2019s usually not a traffic problem<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first instinct is to think:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe need more traffic.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sometimes that\u2019s true.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But often, people <em>are already visiting your site<\/em> \u2014 they\u2019re just not turning into calls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That\u2019s a different problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What happens after someone clicks<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When someone lands on your site, there\u2019s a short window where they decide what to do next.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For most trade services, it\u2019s simple:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Call<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Send a message<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Or leave<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There\u2019s not a lot of patience in that moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They\u2019re usually:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>On their phone<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In a hurry, sometimes in a panic<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Looking at a few options at once<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If anything slows them down, they move on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where things quietly break<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Most websites don\u2019t fail in obvious ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They don\u2019t crash.<br>They don\u2019t show errors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Instead, small things get in the way right when someone is trying to contact you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Things like:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A phone number that isn\u2019t easy to tap on mobile<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A contact button that isn\u2019t immediately clear<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A form that feels like too much effort<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A page that loads just a bit too slowly<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">None of these seem like major issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But in that moment, they\u2019re enough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Here\u2019s the part most people never see<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When someone <em>can\u2019t<\/em> reach you, you don\u2019t hear about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There\u2019s:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>No missed call<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No failed message<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No notification<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From your side, it just looks like another visitor came and went.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But some of those people were ready to reach out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They just didn\u2019t get through.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A quick way to check your own site<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you\u2019re wondering whether this might be happening, try this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Open your website on your phone \u2014 not your desktop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then don\u2019t browse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Just try to contact yourself as quickly as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pay attention to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>How fast the page loads<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How easy it is to find your number<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Whether tapping it works instantly<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Whether anything slows you down<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s a simple test, but it catches a lot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why this matters (especially if you\u2019re running ads)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you\u2019re paying for traffic \u2014 Google Ads, Local Services Ads, anything like that \u2014 this gets expensive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You\u2019re not just losing a visitor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You\u2019re losing:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The cost of the click<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The potential job<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The opportunity you already paid for<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And because it\u2019s not visible, it often gets mistaken for a traffic issue instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The takeaway<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If your website is getting visitors but not turning into calls, it\u2019s worth looking closely at what happens in that final step.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not just whether people <em>find<\/em> you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But whether they can actually reach you easily once they do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because that\u2019s where a lot of missed jobs tend to hide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you\u2019ve never tested this on your own site, it\u2019s worth a quick look.<br>Most of these issues aren\u2019t obvious \u2014 but they show up right at the worst
